She couldnt remember anything the next day and lost her phone! For example, when you walk in to University, you are striaght away a Student, a Lecturer etc. A role what is pre-given but not chosen by you own. Another example, when a baby is borned, a boy will normally wear blue while a girl will usually wear pink. Whilst, this statement leads to stereotyping in society, which i am not focusing on. Here, what i am trying to stress is between Sexuality and Society. Given the theory above, if we were to believe that sexuality can be nurtured, i would like to think that language and texts can shape sexuality too.<br /><br />I would like to think that all human being are borned bisexuals.<br />However, throughout days and years, language and texts shape the thinking of people. Subconsiously, individuals are not aware of the discourse they are in. Languages and texts shape our thinking in a way allows us to make decisions in their sexuality prior to stereotyping of society.<br /><br />Put it in simple terms, when we were young, we receive education from home and school that BOYS are supposed to like GIRLS, while GIRLS are supposed to like BOYS. Thus, languages that we use speaking to boys and girls can be different. At the same time, texts (tv shows, newspapers, radio etc) shape our thinking that homosexuality is not the mainstream but the people of the edge of society.<br /><br />Well, of course this is just me thinking about sexuality and language &amp; texts. BORING<br />i fell asleep in most of the classes!<br />ish the other thing is<br />other than second media age, i am almost the only FEW ASIANS in class.<br />is really weird. feel intimidated. like the first time i stepped into monash sunway.<br />now i feel like im a First Year student ALL OVER AGAIN<br /><br />but life has been great!<br />not fantastic but great!<br />is so much easier than i thought :)<br />and i shopped a lot! so sinful<br />i bought...................................................countless stuff like nobody business<br />sigh im sorry mum, dad.<br />but is winter, time to dress up! haha<br /><br />last but not least im going to SKI!!!!!!<br />yay! totally excited! is more like once in a lifetime chance. hahaha.<br />i hope it will be fun!<br /><br />til then,<br />missing everyone<br />xoxo<br />ian<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/20679710-4075050463002734805?l=iceapplenate.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Ianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07925905177643878296noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20679710.post-60958839115686667052009-07-27T07:55:00.000-07:002009-07-27T07:57:00.249-07:00Women file for divorce over hubbies’ unusual sex drive<br /><br />TWO women have filed for divorce on grounds that their husbands’ unusual sex drive is linked to black magic, reports Metro Ahad.<br /><br />Syarie Lawyers Association deputy president Musa Awang said in the first case, the couple had been married for a year.<br /><br />“The riddle to the husband’s unnatural sex drive was answered when a relative of the wife saw the husband in the house when the family had seen him leave for work earlier.<br />“The relative heard the husband’s voice in the bedroom and upon checking, found an ‘individual’ in the room looking exactly like the husband,” he said.<br /><br />Musa said that the wife had since filed a complaint with the religious department and applied for fasakh.<br /><br />(Fasakh means ending a marriage by the Syariah Court after hearing the wife’s complaint).<br /><br />In the other case, Perubatan Islam Mustajab specialist Nazri Md Isa said an 18-year-old woman had filed for fasakh after her husband asked her for sex more than 10 times a day.<br />Nazri said according to the wife, the husband had the ritual of going to the bathroom before having sex with her.<br /><br />“It all started when he had sex with her 17 times on their wedding night. The wife did not suspect anything then as she thought he was merely performing his duty as a husband.<br />“But when the situation persisted, she discussed the matter with her mother-in-law, who told her that it was a normal behaviour.<br /><br />She told her own mother, who brought her to the religious department to file a report because the latter thought it was sexual abuse,” he said.<br />Investigation found that the husband’s demeanour was strange.<br />The wife and her family had a shock when they found “two individuals” that look alike in the bathroom.<br /><br />Religious leader Datuk Abu Hasan Din Al-Hafiz claimed that it was not impossible for a man to have sex many times in one night if he was “friendly with the devil”.<br /><br />“It is not impossible for the devil to have carnal intercourse with the man’s wife.<br />“This happens because the devil can appear to look like the husband,” he said.<br /><br />He said that while it was normal for a man to want sex two or three times a day, anything more than the usual would most probably not be the husband but the devil.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/7/27/nation/4396710&amp;sec=nation">http://www.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/7/27/nation/4396710&amp;sec=nation</a><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/20679710-6095883911568666705?l=iceapplenate.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Ianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07925905177643878296noreply@blogger.com0
